The RS6/RS7 models are equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that uses an indirect charge-air cooling circuit.
In this car, the charged air is cooled by a water-cooled intercooler specifically located in the hot V of the engine.
The new WAGNERTUNING Performance intercooler features a high-performance cooling core specifically designed to meet the high demands of the V8 biturbo engine.
It offers a remarkable 118% increase in external core volume compared to the original intercooler.
The carefully calculated ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface ensures maximum heat transfer and optimal internal airflow.
The aluminum die-cast end tanks are designed using CFD simulations to provide the best possible airflow, resulting in excellent cooling performance with minimal back pressure.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
