The Gecko Pro Compound Step 2 is a medium-cut polish specially developed for the second step in the paint correction process. This high-quality compound removes sanding scratches (P1200-P3000), car wash scratches, polishing marks and paintwork imperfections left behind after the coarser polishing with the Gecko Pro Super Cut (Step 1). Ideal for refining the paintwork and restoring an even, deep shine.

Thanks to its balanced formula, Gecko Pro Compound ensures a smooth and glossy surface without dust formation or micro-scratches. Use this product in combination with the Gecko Medium Polishing Pad for the best results.

Please note: This compound does not yet provide definitive protection. For an optimal finish and paint sealing, we recommend finishing with the Gecko Pro Wax Guard (item number 687692).

Application & Use

The Gecko Pro Compound has been developed for professional use in the second stage of the polishing process. all paint types, including sensitive or dark paints where a perfect finish is essential. View the complete Gecko Pro-Line range for a full multi-step paint treatment.

Instructions for Use

Use the Gecko polisher with the Gecko Light Cutting pad and a sufficient amount of product. Shake well before use and remove any irregularities beforehand using suitable sandpaper if necessary.

1. Preparation: Ensure the paintwork is clean and dry. For best results, start with Gecko Pro Super Cut (Step 1) to remove deeper defects.
2. Application: Apply a small amount of compound to the Gecko Light Cutting Pad.
3. Spreading: Spread the product evenly over the surface to be treated at low speed.
4. Polishing: Increase the speed to 1500–2000 rpm and work in overlapping sections of approximately 1 m². Repeat if necessary for a deeper shine.
5. Wiping: Remove excess product with a clean Gecko Microfibre Cloth from the 5-pack (item no. 687853).
6. After-treatment: Finish with Gecko Pro Wax Finish & Protect (item no. 687692) for protection and long-lasting shine. If necessary, you can first proceed with Gecko Pro Fine Finish (Step 3) for further finishing.

Tip from the professional
Let the Gecko Pro Compound do its work. Work in gentle, overlapping strokes and maintain even pressure. The Gecko Pro Compound is designed so that the abrasive particles break down gradually during polishing. So give the product time to work fully — you’ll notice it becoming increasingly transparent. Only then will you get the most out of this polishing step. Stopping too soon often means you’ll have to start again later.
