Slotbouten conisch van McGard zijn "state of the art" producten die voldoen aan alle vereisten uit de automotive industrie. Europese automakers gebruiken meestal bouten om de wielen te beveiligen.
De vervaardiging in een koud extrusie proces zorgt ervoor dat de slotbouten overeenkomen met sterkteklasse 10.9.
Slotbouten worden vervaardigd in twee delen, zodat de kop van de slotbout kan worden gehard tot 46-54 HRC. De slotbouten zijn gecoat met Geomet. Deze coating zorgt voor waarborging van de kleur bij het meermalig los- en vastdraaien van de slotbouten.
Verder biedt deze coating een uitstekende bescherming tegen corrosie en verschilfering.

McGard is an American producer and in 1966 invented his unique one-piece wheel lock for the automotive aftermarket. It functions as an existing nut, but requires a special key (tool) to remove. Our rim lock is easy to use and still offers a high degree of rim and tire protection. It is also adaptable enough to allow an unlimited number of different lock and key patterns designed by the computer.
McGard uses the same innovative design and high quality standards that are used in the production of our rim locks in the manufacture of chromed wheel nuts.
